I rode a stretch of the national Swiss cycling routes 3 and 4, which is also part of Eurovelo 5. Nowadays part of this route has been closed for bicycles - that's how we deal with cycling infrastructure around here. Currently the only way to cycle the strech legally is to use a #
unicycle...

They also offer a shuttle bus for bicycles. But who wants to take a bus if you can keep riding. ;)

I think they had to, because of the official Swiss and Eurpean cycle routes going through there. Otherwise they wouldn't have, I'm sure. From my experience, official cycling routes tend to be better in Germany than in Switzerland. But that's only the official routes, I can't say what it's like on other roads.
Anyhow this leaves us with the funny situation that there is no way to directly cycle from Kanton of Schwyz to the neighboring Kanton of Uri, unless you have some mountain biking skills and are willing to add more than 500m of altitude gain. Of course you could take a detour over Pragel- and Klausenpass, which can be done on a road bike - for an additional 60km an 2900m of vertical gain.

Had a grey and freezing ride today. But there was so little traffic that I didn't have to dismount to give way to cars in a a lot of places where I usually have to get off and use the zebra crossing to get to the other side of the road. #

Depends what you consider securely and whether you are asking about this particular wheel size. It took me about a couple of hours to get used to the big wheel, but when I got it I have been riding 24'' and 27.5'' wheels for a year. At the beginning progress was quite slow. It took me a few weeks to be able to ride further than just across the parking lot. And a few months to be able to ride longer dinstances (>10km)

I tried my home made 24'' studded tyre today which worked extremely well on snow and ice but not at all on tarmac. So I swapped it for the 27.5" muni.

Yesterday was very depressing, I rode 10km in one hour, not all on snow. Without snow I ride closer to 14 or 15 on this unicycle.
