On Friday we went out camping on a #
sota
summit to participate in the VK ZL JA EU S2S event. I made my first ever SOTA DX contacts, to New Zealand and Australia. On Friday in the evening I also managed to catch a DX to Pennsylvania... The cold night was definitely worth it. #

When I last locked at WWFF, I concluded that this is not for me.
Hard to find information and an archaic submission process for logs. On top of that, something was triggering me in the wording used in the rules. All in all, not very welcoming to newcomers.

yep, same here. I kind of like the idea of portable outdoor operation in other places than SOTA summits, however WWFF is too archaic for my taste. IIRC POTA would be a huge improvement on that front, however for some historic reason POTA is US centric and almost nobody does POTA in Europe....
